I believe U r: Referring to lung nodules ;not polyps (which generally occur in GI tract).We don't remove benign lung nodules ;just do serial observation with chest xray, ct scan.For the ones we suspect to be cancerous, we do biopsy to confirm a diagnosis of cancer ;possibly remove them if it's a single lesion.http://www.m.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/benign-lung-tumors-and-noduleshttp://www.rightdiagnosis.com/medical/b.
