TMAO levels: There is still a lot of research being done on TMAO levels. That being said, there is evidence that vegans typically have almost no TMAO- producing bacteria in their stomachs. 
There is still controversy flax seed vs fish oil, because of the ALA in flaxseed, which has to be converted to its active forms so our bodies can use it. Our bodies are inefficient at converting ALA to its active form.

Omega 3s will not: increase appetite and may actually give a false feeling of satiety and work against that goal, much as I like omega 3s.  Please see your doc.  Perhaps there is a thyroid, GI issue, or other imbalance.  Peace and good health.

Possible, however...: Yes, this is possible. The average American diet has far more omega 6 than 3 but not all o6&#x27;s are equal-no real need to limit the essential o6 GLA. Vegetarian sources of o3&#x27;s like flax, walnut

Not usually: Eating healthy fats like omega 3&#x27;s would not increase your weight, unless you&#x27;re eating huge quantities of them.  Omega 3&#x27;s are in cold-water fish like salmon and sardines. Plant sources come from ala (which the body must change into epa ; dha) include flaxseeds, flax oil, canola oil, soybeans, soybean oil, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil, purslane, perilla seed oil, walnuts, and walnut oil.

No and yes: It may help the skin in some anecdotal studies and pt attestations but will not affect the body height. main use is for reducing blood triglyceride levels.

Cholesterol: Good quality marine fish oil lowers triglycerides, red yeast rice lowers LDL, either or both may be needed to change your total.  Exercise can help boost HDL.  Please see your doctor and discuss the results of your lipid panel.  Peace and good health.

Probably not: A recent study published in the new england journal of medicine showed that people on a "mediterranean diet" lowered their risk by 30% of major cardiovascular event.  This diet was a mediterranean diet supplemented with olive oil and mixed nuts.  I would avoid just adding the oil  why not eat the nuts.  In this diet the nuts were used as snack and not part of the meal.

doc wants me to take three 300mg of krill oil daily after my omega 3 test came back. i had been taking 1 krill plus a fish oil daily.  is this unusual?

Fish best: No evidence taking capsules help. Recommendation is to eat fish at least twice a week.
