Wrong diagnosis: If there is no diabetes, the diagnosis is not "diabetic nerve pain." there are many potential causes of widespread pain, see a pain doctor. The good news is that almost none of those causes is acutely dangerous.

Typically symptoms related to MS are on one side of the body but can be both sides as well occasionally. The symptoms typically go away followed by a period with no symptoms followed by returning of symptoms perhaps elsewhere in the body. If this is the scenario you are experiencing then you may need to consult with a Neurologist who can guide you in the right direction.

i have been having sharp burning nerve pain and other issues only on the right side of my body,muscle issues,also extreme fatigue and cant gain weight. its pointing towards ms symptoms. what should be my next step? how do you get tested

See your doc: While your symptoms may suggest at least partially MS, there are many other conditions much more common that may contribute to your symptoms. Starting with an exam with your doc would be ideal.

does normal brain and cervical mri rule out ms? i have many symptoms over the year, nerve pain, paraesthesia, fatigue, dizziness, bladder pain, tight band feeling around torso. would i need to mri of whole spine? what other tests would help? thanks?

: If there are no abnormal lesions in brain or neck, with or without contrast, it is highly unlikely that MS would explain your symptoms.  However, would recommend thoracic and lumbosacral spine images with contrast to evaluate the "tight band feeling", which could be due to spinal cord problem, (myelopathy), and could explain symptoms  in legs.

Unlikely: Most pineal cysts, if remain small, will cause no symptoms at all and are just an incidental finding on imaging.  Your multiple symptoms need to be assessed, as many situations could promote your problems.  Unlikely to be MS.

: There is NO such disease as "MS neuropathy", as multiple sclerosis is a disorder of the central nervous system affecting eyes, brain, and spinal cord.  Neuropathy refers to peripheral nerve pathology, caused by such diseases as diabetes, alcohol/nutitional problems, and many others.  If you or family members are suffering from MS, recommend an experienced neurologist to get involved.

rheumo/gi want nerve biopsy. check 4 inflammatory vasculitis. have sjogrens, rsynauds, ms plus severe neuropathy. what does vasculitis mean w all this?

Vasculitis: Vasculitis is an inflammatory condition of the the blood vessels.  Because it is often systemic, meaning widespread throughout the body, it can affect any organ system including the nervous system.   A biopsy of the nerve may help to determine what kind of inflammation is present and help to guide the best treatment.

See a neurologist: Not clear to me what is correct diagnosis.  You need this to be clarified, and stop guessing as to what it is.  Find a seasoned experienced neurologist, get tested and treated.

is trigeminal neuralgia in young adults always a sign of impending ms? i'm 28 and have had tn for a little over 2 years.

Not necessarily: Trigeminal neuralgia can be associated with nerve irritation at the base of the brain, and can be seen with blood vessel compression, neuroma presence, contact against a bony surface within the cranium, and associated with any disorder than can impair cranial nerves.  Although there is an association with ms, has a spinal tap confirmed ms?  Get a high quality MRI with a neuro-radiologist.
