Dizzy : It may make you feel dizzy.  May cause ringing in ears or funny taste in mouth.  Will not make you high.

is it normal to have a high number of neutrophiles in the blood (85.81 ,should be between 40-70) and a low level of lymphocyte (9,68 , should be between 22-44) after being injected local anesthesia lidocane hydrochloride 2% and epinephrine 1:100 ?

: I would ask team doing the injection neutrophiles can tend to aggregate along vessel walls and in the spleen.  A shot of epinephrine, if if gets directly into you blood stream, can make spleen contract and may disturb peripheral count for a bit. Was the injection being given to drain an infection. Infection can increase neurophil %.  Discuss with local team what is "normal" in folks like you there

i had a lower back lipoma removed under local anesthesia two weeks ago and since then i have been having blood pooling , causing painful pressure?

Bleeding: Source of bleeding has to be identified and addressed.  Return immediately to the practitioner that removed your lipoma.

dont feel a part of my head(occipito-parietal, left side) for 2 weeks now.its like having a local anesthesia or stopped blood circulation.no headaches!

MRI needed: While there are some benign reasons for developing a numb area, you really need a formal neurological exam and probably an mri.

No: there should be no changes in birth control effects from local anesthesia

i had x-rays taken of my teeth and have to have 2 cavities filled at the dentist this week. we want to try to conceive next week. is this safe now? can the dentist use local anesthesia or does it stay in your blood for a long time?

Accepted Answer

: There are no lingering effects from the treatment you had which will preclude you from trying to conceive at this time. The effect of x-rays are instntaneous, and the anesthetic is denatured in the liver and are gone in a day.

No: If you drink alot your liver my be used to a higher metabolic rate,  but in general no.

what effect will street drugs have on local anesthesia?

Accepted Answer

Depends on the drug: It is not recommended to use street drugs prior to any anesthetic.  Any procedure involving local anesthetic could potentially require further sedation or general anesthesia and interaction with street drugs could be dangerous.  You should not take any prior to a procedure and you should let your anesthesiologist know if you have.

In many ways: Local anesthesia involves injecting an anesthetic agent into one part of the body to make it numb--giving novocaine for dental work is an example.  General anesthesia involves injecting an anesthetic intravenously to make you unconscious.

can a mentoplasty procedure be done by using local anesthesia?

Accepted Answer

No: The procedure is not always quick and it is not easy go adequate anesthesia with  just local anesthesia.  I prefer to do a general endotracheal anesthesia which provides a safe set up for the surgeon to do a good mentoplasty.
