It is a choice: The success of IUI is a bell shaped curve and the average is 3-4 times and up to 6 attempts.  By then, if IUI is not successful, it probably will not work and you need to look at other options i.e. Ivf.  Make sure that no other causes have been missed and than decide is your money and emotions better spent on 2 more iui's or switching to ivf.  Hope this helps.

No more IUI: Since you've failed 5 IUIs, it is no longer a good option for you, especially for someone with endometriosis. One reason patients with endometriosis not able to conceive naturally, is because the endometriosis will cause pelvic adhesion and tubal dysfunction. IVF is a much better option. If you are afraid of using drugs, you may choose natural cycle IVF or mild stimulation IVF.

Pregnancy: If your doctor has no reason for the problems you are having you need to see a different doctor.
For preference I strongly recommend you see a Gynecologist or Obstetrician in a well recognized Academic setting.

Varies: With just an insemination in someone who has infertility, pregnancy rates can be between 1 and 20%. It depends on the age of the patient and the situation. Younger age is a better pregnancy rate depending on your hormones. Generally IUI works best in a couple whose only problem is mild male factor (mild changes in sperm count and movement).

Sure: I think many doctors believe it is a good thing. There really has never been a very good study showing benefits of acupuncture for fertility. The studies themselves are very hard to do. But i think there is likely some benefit.

HSG: A work up is usually done prior to treatment. The hgs will let you know that your tubes are open and that the sperm can reach your egg. Performing the IUI with blocked tubes if a waste of time and money!

Paragard or Mirena (levonorgestrel): With paragard, period may have same or heavier flow and same or heavier cramping than before insertion. With mirena, (levonorgestrel) Progesterone is released into uterus and the effect is only in uterus not throughout the body, there is usually less days and amount of flow and sometimes the period stops, with that comes less cramping.You  still ovulate each month with either iud and mid-cycle pain may be be there.

Not really: Iui is a simple office procedure used to enhance fertility. There is a slight risk of infection  and there may be some post procedure cramping. Good luck!

No: An IUI is a procedure where washed sperm is placed through the cervix and placed at the very top of the uterus close to the fallopian tubes to help conception. A hsg is a diagnostic procedure were dye is flushed through the cervix into the uterus and hopefully out the fallopian tubes in order to assess whether the female anatomy is normal.

IUI involves: Insertion of washed sperm into the uterus; the woman's eggs are not manipulated , but in some cases she takes medication to stimulate egg production from follicles.
