Sometimes.: Umbilical hernias are small holes in the abdominal wall at the belly button through which the inner layer of the abdominal wall, the peritoneum, protrudes through to create a sac.  This sac has many pain fibers and is often sensitive to the touch, especially if it is difficult to reduce.  Your baby, regardless of their age, will let you know if it hurts, typically by grimacing and crying.

Why mash removed?: Push ups and abdominal exercises increase intra-abdominal pressure and this might affect any scar resulting from an abdominal operation. Have a discussion with your surgeon who will take yo7 through the process of wound healing and when it would be safe for you to resume your exercise routine

Yes, start slowly: Usually, we tell people to wait 8 weeks after hernia repair because of the risk of recurrence is higher during that time. However, if it has been 6 weeks you can and should have already started walking and you can start running, i would not lift weights for another 2 weeks.
