i have been exercising with fast paced walk 40mins a day.. now my toe is feeling pain as if gout is gonna flair up. is this normal?

Many possibilities: Toe pain could result from different reasons, of which may include: trauma (fracture, tendon or ligamentous tear, arthritis), infection, metabolic conditions (gout) musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormality, or neurologic conditions (neuropathy). A thorough history and physical exam and possibly laboratory and radiology exams could determine the cause.  If symptoms persist get it evaluated.

Yes: Gout is an arthritis that usually attacks one joint at a time--usually the big toe because it is farthest from your central circulation. This disease can allow crystals to form in the joint, which causes pain. You should consult with your podiatrist or primary physician for treatment.

i have a painful finger. ra tests were negative . might it be gout?  it has hurt for six weeks and is particularly painful and stiff in the mornings.

Many possibilities: Finger pain can come from many causes, including gout, osteoarthritis, strain, fracture, etc.  Additionally, a negative RA test does not always rule out rheumatoid arthritis.  Best to see your doctor to have additional tests or xrays performed to establish a cause for your pain.

Psudeogout: Pseudogout causes inflammation in joints similar to gout.  Gout is caused by deposition of uric acid crystals in joints, whereas, pseudogout is caused by calcium pyorphosphate crystals.  During acute flares, both can respond to anti-inflammatories such as nsaids as well as colchicine.  Would recommend being evaluated by your doctor to arrive at a diagnosis.  Other causes should be ruled out.

uric acid is up 440>502 umol/l despite my gout diet. never had an atk. i eat only1400 cals, 3 l water, and 3 hour workout/day. should i take alupurinol?

See your DR. : Allopurinal os a good alternative to controlling uric acid.  But you need to find out if you are a overproducer of ua.  Take a 24 urine test for ua and your dr will be able to advise on best oral treatment.

my feet hurt  from the ball to the end of my toes, is there any pill i can take for the pain i think it is gout had corazone shots  but it didn't work

Gout : Gout is a form of recurrent arthritis. It most commonly causes pain  at the base of the big toe and can lead to hot, tender, red and swollen joints.  It is caused by increased uric acid levels in the blood. If you think you may have gout, please get evaluated. If you do have gout it is often treated with things like Colchicine or steroids. In the meantime you can try non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications like motrin.

i injured my archilles tendon in october 2017.
my gp diagonised it as tendonittus caused by gout.
i am taking puricos.
can i engage in running and cycling?
i do not want hurt the tendons again as it was extremely painful last time.

GRADUAL: return to activity and NOT "OVERDOING IT!!!" would be safe.. REMEMBER PAIN is a BIOLOGICAL WARNING LIGHT!.  A consultation with a Sports Medicine trained physician would be your best bet if such a  specialty is available for you locally.

Probably not gout!: Acute gout is very painful and patients frequently can't put on their shoe or bear weight on the affected foot.  Sometimes a bunion or osteoarthritis can be mistaken for gout.  If it doesn't hurt, i probably wouldn't do anything with it.

years ago i broke my big toe; it hurts again (because of bad shoes? which i threw out) coworker says it's gout? when should i see a dr.? gout? y or n?

Gout or not: Abroken toe usually heals in about six weeks and does not give pain after it has healed.You may have gout, you need to see your doctor who will examine you and do a blood test and start you on the treatment.Gout causes pain in small joints in feet and hands , it needs to be treated with ani inflammatory pain pills and follow up.Gout can keep recurring and if uric acid is high , you need treatment

i have gout in my elbow and foot and its been going on for about a month. it usually only lasts up to a week. i can't straighten my arm. foot hurts too?
