Maybe not just GERD: Further evaluation is key to determining if your symptoms are reflux-related or not. Also, if reflux, is it acid or non-acid material that is involved? Sometimes, pulmonary, ent, or dental issues are at play, ; sometimes dysmotility or gastroparesis is the issue. Are you sure your acid blocker dose is sufficient ; that you have been compliant with behavior ; diet restrictions to minimize gerd?

Acid reflux: One potential cause is acid reflux which may be due to gerd but you should be seen by a GI doctor and have this checked. You may have helicobacter infection. The other consideration is that you are allergic to something in the food you are eating and that could be a life-threatening situation if not discovered soon. i have burning stabbing pain in my esophagus between shoulder blades. drinking hot beverages burn when hitting that area. when hot water hits that spot when i shower it hurts it too. is this gerd ? also pain in right shoulder blade.but not internal?

: Your described symptoms are not consistent with GERD. If these symptoms have been present for weeks, you should see your doctor for a thorough exam and a referral to see a GI doctor may be needed.

Obviously fried : food contributes to the reflux.  Can take some otc Prilosec or even pepto to help with symptoms.  But dietary changes will help the most

How about a lot less: Alcohol (etoh) empties rapidly from the stomach. Alcohol dehydrogenase in the stomach lining contributes to etoh metabolism. Etoh can not be stored by the body & obligatory oxidation takes place predominantly in the liver. 1 gram etoh gives 7 empty calories that provide only energy with no nutritional value. Poor diet (protein-calorie, choline, folate (folic acid) deficiency) contributes to liver toxicity.

can a gerd flare up last for a few days in a row? i've had all the symptoms of gerd for about 2 weeks now even after taking pepcid complete and was wondering if gerd can still persist like that.... all i drink is soda though, so that may be it?

STOP THE SODA: I would think the possible culprit is what you have identified already as excessive consumption of carbonated drinks. I would suggest that you stop these as there is no nutritional value to this and all types of problems. This would be a good first step.

Maybe: It's not the peach flavoring that would be a problem. The caffeine in any tea reduces the strength your gastro-esophageal  junction has to close/prevent reflux. Consuming this in moderation/not reclining after consumption may negate any adverse effect.

Ask your doctor: if all is well, it is unlikely that they would find anything that would change your treatment.  If you have a Barrett's esophagus they may want to see you back, but that situation is being reviewed.  ASk the doctor who did the procedure.  If they are not calling for you to come back, they ae leaving up to your GP to decide depending on how you feel.

GERD: I would talk to my Doctor about a different medication if yours is NT helping.  But the candies alone are probably not bad.
