my sons chicken pox seem to be fading away and are not blistering. .. what does this mean?

Resolving pox: Chickenpox typically comes in 2 waves. First several pox that open then scab, then about 3 days into the infection a second wave of pox appear.  Once each pox open and scab you child would be non contagious and able to go out. This typically takes 7 days.

Possibly: Most of the average 200 spots of a chickenpox breakout will leave no scars. They occur in the top layer of the skin so little disruption occurs for most.However, a contamination of the initial blister with other germs like staph or strep  & scratching by the patient can sometimes aggravate some if the spots & leave scars.

No, but: The eruption of shingles places infectious particles in the weeping wounds involved. Direct contact with these particles can pass the virus. If you had enough contact with these particles they could infect someone if they reached your mouth,nose,eyes. Anyone that had chickenpox in the past would not get it again. It is not in the saliva of shingles patients, as it would be if he had chickenpox.

Viruses, mostly.: Viral rashes are common in kids; chicken pox is the most popular, but just about any virus can cause a rash. Other possibilities include allergic reactions to medications or food additives, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and other things. It's impossible to make a precise diagnosis without seeing the rash, so you should consult a dermatologist, especially if your son is running a fever.

i'm a 24yr male with chicken pox for the past 5 days on medication, but today morning i noticed white discharge inside of my prepuce after cleaning and inspecting it i found a couple of vesicles. is this normal, if not what is the next step?

: Unfortunately, chicken pox vesicles can be found on genital skin as well as most of the skin surface. They are shallow and will self-heal over time if you keep the skin clean. They are a potential source of localized bacterial skin infection just like other areas of skin. Close monitoring and frequent rincinf with hydrogen peroxide can reduce infection risk. Antibiotic cream can also help.

Maybe,maybe not: Chickenpox tends to come out in crops of new blisters every few hours for 4-6 days. They change through stages from the initial bump, to blister, to open & drain, all within 24hrs. The average kid gets about 200 spots.There are many blistering processes & an office visit can decide what your baby has for sure.
