It depends: On you.  Yes, wellbutrin (bupropion) can contribute to urinary retention, but it can also contribute to urinary incontinence.  Each person is an individual and we cannot predict what will happen with which patient.

for 2 weeks i've had heart palpitations lasting 10-14 hours, almost every night, sometimes daytime. cardiologist ordered a 24 hour metanephrines urine test. my normetanephrines are 834 and metanephrines total is 993. could wellbutrin be a cause?

i think wellbutrin (bupropion) is giving me tinnitus. ringing & hissing bad. how many days should i stop to find out? been on 1 month. mild tinnitus in past.

Can cause tinnitus: Tinnitus is one of the known side effects of Wellbutrin (bupropion).  But you state that you had mild tinnitus in past.  You are also taking ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and clobetasol.  It is possible that one of these or an interaction may be aggravating your tinnitus.  Do not alter your wellbutrin (bupropion) dose without checking with your dr first.  Abruptly stopping meds can cause you additional problems.  Good luck!

i take bupropion sr 150mg 2 times every day for my mdd. it works great for me. although, it gives me some side effect that i want to reduce. should a 300mg xl reduce the side effect or 75mg ir 3 times?

Speak to your doctor: Always speak to your doctor when wishing to make changes to your medication dosage for any reason. However, medications which are once daily may cause less side effects than splitting doses as you suggest of regular formula. Also, it&#x27;s possible that a total lower daily dose could still work well &amp; give less side effects. Again, your doctor should be your GOTO for such questions

Yes, with some tests: Buproprion can show up as methamphetamine on routine drug screens.  Tell the agency/person/department doing it that you are on it and they can do a more specific test that won't confuse the two.  This works, unless you are on methamphetamines too!

150xr wellbutrin (bupropion) had no + mood effects, but did give orgasms an extra zing which i miss. ok to use for that? won't see a dr for a while or go to ssri.

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) shows up: as amphetamine in urine screens. It&#x27;s often written on a lab report  as &quot;amphetamines/methamphetamines&quot; with a positive result&#x27;s being above a certain cut-off number. You&#x27;re on the maximum adult daily dose of Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). Please seek referral to a psychiatrist who knows its  potential for  drug interactions with Celexa &amp; WB &amp; is familiar with interpreting drug screen reports.

my new psychiatrist also changed my wellbutrin from sr to xl and increased dosage from 150sr to 300 xl in the am to help with depression and smoking cessation. will this not give me anxiety?

: Anxiety is one common side effect of wellbutrin, regardless of SR or XL formula. Yes, a higher dose usually has more side effect than a smaller dose but the overall risk is still less than 10%. However, if you have anxiety with a lower dose, it may be worse with a higher dose.

i tested positive fro exposure to methamphetamine hair follicle test. could that be from my wellbutrin being bupropion, or an outside source?

Yes: Wellbutrin and other antidepressants such as Prozac, Zoloft and Trazodone may cause false positive results for methamphetamine on drug screening.
