Acne: Aquaphor is an excellent moisturizer but i would not recommend it for the face as it will clog the pores. Use a moisturizing lotion instead on the dry areas.

Moisturizer: Aquaphor is more to moisturize the skin in the body.
Baby acne will come and go by itself. For babies less than a month old, we recommend just washing the face with warm water. If you see flakes from the scalp, cradle cap, or thick yellow flakes on the eyebrows, it's seborrhea, which can make the rash on the face worse. If so, use Selsun Blue Shampoo to was the hair.

No: Aquaphor is similar to vaseline. Your dermatologist will help you. There are several different therapies.

hi i had a salicylic & lactic peel and was advised to use aquaphor. i'm acne prone and don't want to clog my pores how long should i use the aquaphor? it's been 2 days...

Not long: Generally a Salicylic Lactic acid peel isn't very deep.  If your skin isn't still raw it would be ok to stop.  You can usually tell when the Aquaphor is off your face may sting and burn without it if it is still raw.  You can also wash your face with a mild soap like cetaphil, if you need the Aquaphor you can re-apply.  That said,  I would imagine after 2 days you may not need it any longer.

2 mnth old has heat rash, baby acne which never goes away. is there any remedy other than aquaphor? his doc isn't worried but there's no improvement.

Patience: Your doctor is right not to be worried. These "baby rashes" go away over time and nothing really speeds that up.  Too much meddling can cause bigger problems. Leave the "acne" alone. It will go away - it takes TIME.

Bacteria and oil.: Propionibacterium acnes is a bacteria that lives in the oil/hair glands on your face.  Excess oil production under the influence of male hormones feeds the bacteria which thrive and cause the local inflammation.

No single cause: Acne is a poorly-understood process involving one's personal biology, hormonal status, keratin thickness, personal bacterial microflora, and probably a bunch of cytokine parameters we don't begin to understand. What we do know is that it's basically unrelated to hygiene, diet, or lifestyle, and anyone offering simplistic answers is both wrong and cruel.
