Allergic rash??: I am not sure. BUT, if you have developed rashes from taking antibiotics - you may be having an allergic reaction. Please let your prescribing doctor know (promptly)

hi i am on prep daily. a month ago (still on prep) i  had several condomless receptive/insertive anal sex.  4 days ago i had a sore throat followed by chills/sweats and then diahrrea. i improved on antibiotic given by sti dr. is it hiv/prep failure?

: You need a repeat 4th generation HIV assay at 1 and 3 months to be sure.  These activities are labeled “high risk” for HIV acquisition and your symptoms MAY indicate HIV infection.  No way to tell without a test

Possible: Its possible to have night sweat with either. Once you complete antibiotic course and sweating continues, try stopping pain meds and if still have night sweats, it would warrant a thorough check up by your physician.

i have pnemonia and i am wondering how long it is normal to have night sweats and sweating chills thru out the day for? been on antibiotic for 48 hrs

Viral or bacterial?: Viral pneumonia will not respond to antibiotics so the symptoms will last much longer.  Bacterial pneumonia should start responding to appropriate antibiotic treatment within 4 days or so.  Often times, medications such as steroids and inhalers are used to hasten recovery.

i have been struggling with diahorea and lethargy as well as sweats with no temperature been self isolating for more than 10 days feeling otherwise bit fluey. i don't think it's covid does this sound like i should be on an antibiotic?

Get a covid test; : not a bad idea to get  a COVID test; if doesn't resolve, see a physisican

See below: Has anyone checked for CF or looked into a heart issue?  If not, i would recommend both.  Other issues can also cause a persistent cough that are not infectious like vascular rings, sling around the trachea or cardiac malformations.  X rays will not often pick these issues up.  See you pediatrician again and ask these questions.

Full Amount: It is best to take your antibiotics exactly as your physician prescribes. So take the full amount a day, and for the full length of time. If you miss a dose, try to take it as soon as you remember without taking multiple doses at one time. And it is important that even if you're feeling better after a few days-still take the full prescription to make sure you're rid of the infection.

Dr. or ER can check: An evaluation is needed. Herpes causes throat and gums sores if a new infection. There are enteroviruses (stomach viruses) that cause hand-foot-mouth disease. Coxsackie virus is a cause of HFM and can infect people of all ages. Patients get mouth sores, from a few to many sores, and have pain with eating and drinking. The virus can cause other symptoms, but first an exam and diagnosis are needed.

For sure: In any way imaginable, use when not needed, using to high a dose, using too long a course, using too broad a spectrum of therapy.
