I have pnemonia and i am wondering how long it is normal to have night sweats and sweating chills thru out the day for? been on antibiotic for 48 hrs

Viral or bacterial?: Viral pneumonia will not respond to antibiotics so the symptoms will last much longer. Bacterial pneumonia should start responding to appropriate antibiotic treatment within 4 days or so. Often times, medications such as steroids and inhalers are used to hasten recovery.
