: I know that biotin can interfere with results of certain blood tests and probably is best withheld before getting lab work. It can also interfere with actions of certain meds&amp;chemotherapy. I don't find adverse effects with diabetes or their meds. 10000 mcg is a reasonable dose. Your pharmacist can advise you further about biotin &amp; diabetes.

Yes: You also have a duty to learn the cause of your anemia, and insist your physician explain the workup. "Low blood pressure" is a non-entity if you feel well. Hypertension is the silent killer. Stay pro-active about your health.

Additional iron supp: Your doctor can make sure that your blood pressure is controlled. If you have a mild iron deficiency you may need to take an iron supplement by itself. Most vitamins do not have enough iron in them so pick up something like ferrous gluconate over-the-counter and take that twice-daily. Check with your dr. To make sure that is okay.

Not "cause": In reality we do not KNOW the true cause of high blood pressure. We do know many things that will drive it up in a predisposed individual. Considering about 30% of population has HTN, it is fairly common. Smoking and/or any act that stresses the body or mind can drive BP up in someone wo already has HTN or is genetically "ripe" to develop  HTN
