CMMD: Congenital mirror movement disorder is a condition in which intentional movements of one side of the body are mirrored by involuntary movements of the other side. This pattern of movements is present from infancy or early childhood and usually persists throughout life, without other associated signs and symptoms. Non congenital mirror movement disorder usually resolves by age 7.

can nails have a limited growth i try to grow my nails longer but it doesn't seem to grow more than this, so does it have a limit? thanks doctors

Not usually: Like hair, nails have  fairly constant growth.  Factors that might alter nail growth include injury to the nail matrix, nail infection, severe illness or unusually brittle nails.  If this of concern to you consult with a dermatologist.

cuticle was crushed. no new nail is growing. can see both ends of nail. need to see doc for this? already saw for initial trauma.

The nail: bed...(growing point) is damaged. You might consult with a Hand Specialist (with specific interest in recontrsuctive (plastic) surgery!

They need monitoring: Im assuming you mean anti fungal pills. Most commonly they can cause liver problems in some folks, so it is recommended you get baseline labs and then have blood drawn periodically while on them to monitor for any problems.

i have nail-patella syndrome. every doctor i've seen says it's nothing, and recommend i just stop whatever i'm doing if i feel pain. what to do??

Could be more....: Hi MarianaD.  I'm sorry to hear you are having some trouble.  Nail patella syndrome is a genetic condition in which the nails are altered from normal and knees are smaller.  In some cases patients may have kidney problems and also thyroid disease but not always.  You need to see someone in person and get the labwork and evaluation.  Hope this helps!

Soggy to hear: Chronic emersion can soften the skin and surrounding nail beds to the point of loss of the nail but unlikely by itself. Use of waterproof but breathable gloves might keep the hands drier without promoting infection. How about the toes if a similar condition there you might need to get another opinion about the fungal connection.

Maybe: Complete resolution of fungal toe nail infections is very difficult.
There certainly is no treatment that is 100% guaranteed.  Topical treatments are less effective than oral medications.  The most promising new approach that has been cleared by the fda is the laser.  Complete surgical removal of a very deformed, painful nail is another option.

asd - 1.1cm, lot of chest pain, nausea, nails become blue, constantly headaches very weak even when have proper diet.doc say asd can b treat with medicine?

There may be now: Eisenmenger complex which is the reversal of flow through the shunt. You may need to see a cardiologist to determine. Once there is pulmonary hypertension, it would be difficult to repair. I don't usually disagree with other doctors but you need a specialist's opinion. Good luck.

can l get stis from fingering a prostitute and having brief protected sex with her. i bite my nails frequently. i used a condom but not fully erect. doctor says l am not at risk for hiv and not to worry but anything. adviced to take 2 week hiv test.

STI: Besides sexually transmitted diseases, there are other non-medical things you need to be worried about.  My recommendation is you find a good women and marry her.  Forget the prostitutes.  They are a recipe for disaster.  If you haven't had any problems up to now, you are lucky.  It's just a matter of time, your luck will run out.
