: This is somewhat controversial. After 10 years or longer, antibody from the vaccine sometimes is not detectable. Probably such persons are at least partially protected from hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection but it isn't certain. Most experts recommend revaccination to be maximally safe. You either can be revaccinated, or have an HBV antibody test to help decide. Good luck.

: I find the infants just as mad/pissed with one shot as 3-4 &amp; their recovery from each session the same. Studies cite an infant challenges their immune system dozens of times daily from the germs they suck off their fingers, much more than the few shots they may get with the recommended pattern. I give shots at the same session when possible. I encourage parents who want different to go elsewhere.

No: She should still get the next hepatitis vaccine. It is common for some babies to have fever or fussiness or tiredness after a vaccine. This is not harmful. Discuss with your baby's doctor when you go in for the next vaccine.

Depends: If you have never had the disease and want to avoid it get the vaccine.If you have had it, the vaccine would be of no benefit. If you have a low risk lifestyle and don't care if you get it, don't. Unfortunately, this is one disease that can be passed sexually, along with other insidious ways, and could result in severe illness or death.

Immunity only Hep A: If you had 2 shot series for hepatitis a you are immune from that viral illness for life. There is a combination hep a/hep b vaccine but it sounds like you were not offered that choice & were started on hep a vaccine alone. Talk to your provider about adding hep b vaccine series now as a series of three doses.

At your next visit: Unless you had Hep B in the past, some docs prefer to start this at their two week follow-up  visit to keep all the vaccines well documented in a single chart.It is hard sometimes to track down the hospital record when you are trying to verify the shot.That said, I always try to give it within 12 hrs of birth.That's how the original vaccine work was done/validated.

Yes: An accelerated vaccine schedule for hepatitis b is at days 0, 7, 21-28, and then 12 months later.  This is good for travel or if you are not sure you can come back at week 4.  Otherwise, wait until week 4, then come back for your third vaccine at month 6. Most people respond to this series. Remember, 1 -2 vaccinations are better than none, but not as good as following the full schedule.
