Wrong approach: Don't wait for symptoms. See your gynecology provider for an exam to include the replacement for the old Pap smear which is now called liquid based cytology AKA "Pap and HPV cotesting". Checking for the virus (HPV) is really important for risk analysis.
Along the same lines, don't wait for symptoms of breast cancer either. Get a mammogram and clinical exam  along with your own regular self exam.

Pap smear: You are very unlikely to have cervical cancer at your age. If you have not had unprotected sex with uncircumcised men, your risk is truly negligible.

However, if you have any of those risk factors, and if your doctor is concerned, the test he needs to do is simple, and is called a pap smear.

If you have not had an immunization against cervical cancer yet, this might be a good time to get one.

There : There are no noticeable signs of very early cervical cancer.  At that stage, the abnormal cells on the cervix can only be detected by routine screening, called a pap smear. If the cancer grows big enough before it is discovered, it can cause various symptoms. Vaginal bleeding may occur, particularly after sexual intercourse. Or, there may be spotting between periods, or unusually heavy periods.  An unusual vaginal discharge is possible, and it may or may not have an odor.  Pain in the pelvic area unrelated to an obvious activity is possible, or the pain may occur primarily during intercourse. These symptoms should be reported to the doctor, so that a pelvic exam and possible other tests can be performed.

Evaluation needed: While it is true that patients with cervical cancer may present with bloody discharge, the vast majority of patients with bloody discharge do not have cervical cancer.  You should see your physician.

It is not difficult: You need to see your gynecologist or family doctor for a pelvic examination. Cancer of the cervix shows up very easily as a growth on the surface of the cervix, pid does not show up on the surface.

It is possible: The answer is yes, you can.  However, it may not be the best thing for you to do depending on what treatment is recommended for you.  Pregnancy can delay treatment of cervical cancer and there is some thought that the mother's immune system changes might actually make the cancer more likely to spread.  For some cervical cancers and treatment, it may be possible to get pregnant after you are cured.
