Bruxism and braces: To my knowledge: no.  The age group (i.e. Kids) that gets braces is often the age of highest bruxism frequency.  This rate goes down during adulthood but bruxism can still be noted.

Accepted Answer

Braces: Maybe but not necessarily. This is difficult to answer without seeing your bite and doing an exam. Teeth grinding can be due to a bad bite, stress, tension on the teeth from the braces, and a whole bunch of other things. It could be one of these things or 2 or all of them. It's best to discuss with your doc what you're experiencing.

Not likely: Usually it is just the opposite orthodontics make the teeth sore and people tend not to grind, but i suppose anything is possible.

Porcelain w/ braces: Generally, when a person needs braces, all of the preliminary work is done first.  In your case, the wisdom teeth come out, and the root canals have to be completed. I prefer to wait for the porcelain crowns on the root canal teeth until AFTER THE BRACES are done if there is enough natural tooth structure left following root canal.  If not, then it depends on the dentist's judgement how to handle.

Nothing: I am not sure why you want to refit or reshape your appliance, but i would not recommend your doing it yourself.  Go to your dentist to have it done professionally.

Accepted Answer

It can: Sometimes people will grind their teeth because their bite is not coming together in an ideal way.  Having orthodontic treatment to correct an incorrect bite will help with the grinding, but only if that is the cause of it.  People will also tend to grind their teeth in times of stress...Orthodontics will not help with that.

See a Dentist: Since bruxism happens while you are sleeping (deep sleep or REM), many people may be unaware of it. Dentists can usually tell if you are grinding your teeth just by visual oral exam and treatment options.

Very unlikely: While not impossible,I think it would be extremely unlikely.  Your symptoms could be related to a dental or a medical problem, or perhaps both.  Please see your dentist as soon as possible for a complete and thorough examination and evaluation.  Based upon the findings, your dentist might refer you to a physician for a consultation.

Yes : Yes there are option you have.  First and foremost see your dentist and discuss this with them because you will probably need a lot of work done to restore and rebuild all your teeth to their former glory.
 If you want to cosmetically improve the look of your shortened teeth, then you would need to determine how much room you have to place crowns.  If your dentist feels that your bite is too collapsed (biting down farther than it used to due to the wear and tear of your teeth), then most likely you would need to see a specialist to specifically train your mouth to open up wider.  If you were to place larger crowns immediately, it might cause TMJ problems cause your bite would change too dramatically.  Then after opening your bite, you can look into permanent placement of crowns.  You may need to replace all of your teeth with crowns to replace all the wear and tear on your teeth.
 
I don't think bonding would stay but it may make a small cosmetic difference if its done carefully.  It may stay for awhile but its not a long term solution.
