See a Dentist: Since bruxism happens while you are sleeping (deep sleep or REM), many people may be unaware of it. Dentists can usually tell if you are grinding your teeth just by visual oral exam and treatment options.

Probably ok: An isolated non-recurring episode is probably not of concern. But you may be grinding/clenching in your sleep without realizing it. Have your Dentist check you for signs of aberrant wear (mobility, bone loss, fractures, loss of normal anatomy, abfractions, gum recession, etc.). Your Dentist is trained to evaluate and treat these problems. Take advantage of his/her training and expertise.
