Depends: Ultimately genetics plays the most powerful role in determining your final adult height. Of course good nutrition, lots of sleep, and a nurturing environment as a child can effect total height as well but in your case you are likely on the tail end of growth at 18 years. Seems highly unlikely that you will grow a full 5-6 inches in the next few years.

Continuous: Once kids enter puberty growth rate continues to increase and eventually slows down toward the end of growth. Rate of growth doesn't slow down and speed up during the pubertal growth spurt.

: The expected yearly male linear growth after ten is about 2.5 inches/yr with an expected peak during a growth spirt of around 5-6 inches. If a kid slows to one inch or less/year it usually signals the end is near.

Growing: The child is growing and needs the fuel. Why deny him more food if he is using it well and growing? That is like not watering a plant that needs it. If you have concerns then discuss with a nutritionist and your doc. Many kids have huge appetites during growth spurts.  Feed  fresh foods and not junk- that helps a lot. Sounds normal at this time...

Dont hold yer breath: Anything is possible and not all 18 year olds have finished growing but most have.  5' 11" is pretty tall and in fact an optimal height. You should take a long hard look at why you are not satisfied with your height because i'm willing to bet you that many who are 6' 4" would tell you that they wished they were 5' 11" when they were 18. Extremes of height are associated with unique problems.

Probably not: More than likely is that you have reached your adult height and won't grow any taller. Some guys are late going through puberty and may still grow a little more after 18.

: A growth rate of 1"/yr is not normal for males in puberty. It suggests they are approaching the end of growth or are deficient in the hormones that support it. I would take his records to a visit with his doc so they can be reviewed &amp; appropriate studies done.
