i have severe congestion in only one nostril, while lying down. i take allergy shots for dog dander and dust mites. any other ideas?

Septal Deviation: Has your allergist considered at cat scan of your sinuses? It could be an anatomic problem that needs fixing by an ENT surgeon. You could try "breath right" strips and salt water washes. Even prescription nose sprays might help. I do not endorse any particular product, but these are just some suggestions.

The Allergy drops are not approved by FDA and and there is no concrete evidence of it's effectiveness and it is not covered by insurance

: Allergic reactions to wasps are more frequent than to bees. Desensitization takes a few years and is a slow process best done by an allergist.

Desensitization: Allergy shots involve giving small amounts of the allergen in slowly increasing doses.  This induces "immunity" to the different allergens.  So if you are allergic to ragweed, we would give you small amounts of ragweed pollen, in a an injection, typically weekly to build to a monthly maintenance schedule.

been taking singular 4 severe allergies, it's helped but i've gained 7lbs since on it & i eat well & work out, is only other option allergy shots?

Yes: This is an unusual side effects from Singulair (montelukast). However there are option such as nasal steroid, nasal antihistamine which may  work better. If all else fails , consider seeing an allergist for allergy shots which have shown to be highly effective and often providing long-lasting benefits after several years of treatment. Avoidance measures may also be needed after the allergens have been ID.

Mechanism: It changes the regulating mechanism of the immune system to lower the specific types of ige antibodies and raising the igg4 antibodies. Allergy patient usually (90%) have too much ige antibodies which combine with the allergic protein and after bridging on a mast cell, a chemical reaction is produced resulting in your symptoms.

WOrks fine: Glucagon works just fine with allergy shots, beta blockers etc. It's only secreted, however, when you need it. Why do you think your glucagon isn't working?

my allergies are really bothering me i'm  on pataday flonase claritin (loratadine) and take weekly allergy shots medications don't work i've taken everything else?

Re-evaluation: if you are on all those medicines, regular and not benefiting, so you need to be reevaluated, medicines don't work equally for all patients, doses might need to be modified or prescribed different meds, most important is adherence to treatment plan, good luck
