Great question!: What makes a good doctor?  One that knows when they've reached the limits of their expertise.  If a doctor tells you they can find out if you have a demon or not, it's time to find a new doctor...

If you're hearing voices or seeing things that aren't there, that's a different topic, and i'd strongly suggest seeing a doctor in person.

Weight loss: You would be very hungry and lose a lot of weight, but as long as you remained well hydrated it would not be likely to effect your overall health significantly, but why would you want to do this.  It is very uncomfortable.

Likely nothing: How was it or should it be determined that they didn't "need it" if they were recommended it be done?  I'm thinking the psychiatrist made the recommendation.  I can't imagine a PMD such as an internist simply "ordering it" and that a psychiatrist would do it without an evaluation and agreeing that it was an appropriate intervention.

Have it evaluated.: A puncture wound is caused by an object piercing the skin and creating a hole such as from stepping on a nail.  Such injuries can potentially be dangerous as one may develop tetanus, or a number of other types of deep infections.

STARVATION: If you fast all day but consume some fluids, then there is no ill effect, as long as otherwise you are in good health and do not have diabetes or any other systemic disease.Fasting for a day(24 hours) will not cause any lomg term side effects.

Ecstacy: I am happy to hear this. The sudden rush of losing all of your serotonin at once, while may be cool for some people it can really lead to a significant depression as it takes some time to build up your serotonin stores in the brain naturally. If it is not fun then you won't be tempted to do it again.

Mental illness: Please seek immediate mental health attention, preferably inpatient. It may also be a good idea to contact the local authorities in your area for a 72 hour observation as you may be dangerous to yourself or others.

Add: You may have had it as a child but were never diagnosed.

Yes: Preschool is common in some cultures and not others. The groups that benefit the most tend to come from settings where reading, and other stimulating activities were less common. Within a year or two, little difference is seen in the performance of both groups.
