No: If ovulation has been documented by testing(serum progesterone) and you are taking triphasil (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) every day at the same time each day, no it is not normal. It might be time for a "pinch hitter"(another pill type) as triphasil (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) may not be "stepping up to the plate" for you. Ask your md for advice.

Unclear question: Why are you asking about a contraceptive pill meant for women?
It is a pill and is not for drinking.

No: The only problem with taking two pills in one day is the small chance of nausea.  Keep taking the pill pack as you normally would, and you'll finish one day early before your scheduled 7 day menstrual period -- in this case, however, it'll be 8 days and then you'll start another pill pack.

No: If you missed the dose the day before, it is actually recommended you take both with the next dose or as soon as you remember. The only side effect may be nausea with the increased dose. Missing dose repeatedly may lead to pregnancy or irregular bleeding.

7 days drug free: Triphasil-21 is a birth control package that comes with only 21 hormone containing pills. The package does not contain the red (placebo) tablets. Once you have finished the 21 consecutive days, you take 7 days off of the medication. Next, you begin a brand new 21 day package starting on the 8th day after your last pill from the previous package.

Starting BC Pills: Take your first pill on the first day of your period or on the first Sunday after your period begins. You may need to use back-up birth control, such as condoms, for 10 days when you first start using Triphasil. Follow your doctor's instructions. Take one pill every day, no more than 24 hours apart.

i used triphasil & started bleeding a week after my periods. i'm on my 8th day of bleeding & stopped using the triphasil on the 6th day to see if it would stop but nothing as yet, should i see a dr.. i know it is a side effect of the pill?

Not yet: Your bleeding will taper off over the next 2-3 days most likely. You can try taking the Triphasil again next month. I recommend starting the pills on the first day of your next menstrual cycle (the first day of bleeding) for best results and fewest side effects related to bleeding. Hope this is helpful.
