do you know are lenticular and progressive lenses the same?

Not the same: A progressive lens is a multifocal without a line.  A lenticular lens is a type of lens generally used for people who have very large prescriptions.

Confusing: Your question is confusing-- if you switches from a progressive to a single distance lens you  would not have a reading power and near objects may be blurred. More lokely is that you have recdieved a progressive lens with more reading power,restricting your side to side vision.  A teardrop shape bottom is important to capture all the reading power.Brands do make a difference.  I like Zeiss/varilux

Accidental telescope: The eye with the more minus contact lens sees the larger image because a minus lens acts as an eyepiece in a Galilean telescope, while the progressive bifocals act as the objective lens. This is of theoretical, but little practical value clinically. Either switch to bifocal contact lenses or correct both eyes for distance with the lenses and use over-the counter readers. Aniseikonia fixed.

Presbyopia - yes: These are the classic symptoms of presbyopia and you are in the perfect age for this to happen.  Check with an ophthalmologist to get an improved pair of eyeglasses as your progressives should work well if done properly.

Mostly not: Worn correctly with sensible precautions, contact lens can be very safe aside from the obvious convenience and potential to correct vision.  People who get into trouble are those who fail to follow the instructions and do things like overwear, leaving them in when the eye gets painful or red and not renewing them properly.

Progressive lens: the intermediate power is the transition between the distance power and the reading power at the bottom of the lens, all are measured in diopters. the intermediate power varies depending on what portion of the lens you are looking through

what are the disadvantages of putting on contact lens?

Very few: With practice, putting on contact lenses is a breeze.  Perhaps the only complications may be infection if your hands are dirty and with many years of use sometimes the eyelid skin stretches leading to the premature development of droopy or baggy lids.  Just be careful not to scratch your cornea.
