Helpful for many: Chiropractic has been shown to be helpful for many conditions such as headaches, neck and back pain. It focuses on nerves, joints and muscles. So, any condition that involves those, may be benefitted by chiropractic.

No: Nsaids , steroid pills or injections and rest. Surgery last resort.

Only chiropracter: can answer , trained physician do not believe all diseases are due to maladjusted spine , and  ' adjusting '  will cure them.  THere is no known scientific proof  this  ' impulse Adjusting instrument '   Good Luck

In general yes: In general, yes, although there are some contradictory studies out there.  The only times i would advise against chiropractic treatment are if there is documented spinal instability, or a fracture or other significant intravertebral pathology, or significant nerve or spinal cord compression/impingement.

can you use chiropractic manipulation as a good additional treatment to physical therapy?

Accepted Answer

Yes: I often find that using both osteopathic medicine which is similar to chiropractic treatment and physical therapy is often more effective in helping patients with their musculoskeletal ailments than using either alone. An added benefit is that patients actively pursuing physical therapy often need less osteopathic treatment in the long run.

herniated l4 disc 2 1/2 wks. what's next after chiropractic treatment.  still so much pain. can't work or do one thing for too long...walk,sit etc?

Seek evaluation: Chiropractors offer conservative therapies with manual manipulation but if there are more severe underlying problems such as radiculopathy or severe spinal stenosis, a chiropractor may not help.  You may require more than just Xrays of the low back as well.

how can i pop some of my ribs out, and they are located on the left side of my rib cage. i feel discomfort on the left side of my rib cage where my ribs where pushed inward due to chiropractic treatment/manipulation. do i need some sort of operation?

Accepted Answer

: Probably not a surgery.  It is not unusual following  treatment that you will have soreness.  I would not attempt self-manipulation, but return to your Chiropractor and be re-evaluated.  Use of warm compresses may ease some of your discomfort.

after chiropractic treatment to my neck, i was severely dizzy, still dizzy 2 months later. epely maneuver didn't work.  can't do anything but sit now?

See you doc: It's possible the manipulation of your neck damaged the vertebral that supply blood to the part of your brain controlling balance and coordination.  You should be checked out to see if this is due to an inadvertent medical injury

how do i know if i have damage from a chiropractic treatment, and not just normal muscle soreness?

Hard to tell: Any treatment or therapy can cause increased pain.  A good deep massage can leave you sore for days.  I would discuss your pain with the chiropractor.

should i get a massage or a chiropractic treatment for my knee strain?

Accepted Answer

Neither?: A sprain of the knee ususally needs rest, ice, perhaps compression and elevation along with perhaps splinting and use of crutches.  Rice therapy.  After the initial insult and it is tolerable, range of motion exercises and therapy may be needed.  You may need to see a physical therapist.  There are other modalities to use.  Massage may calm you but it is not mainstay of therapy.  ? Chiropractic.
