Possible: If the symptoms are the same as before surgery, it could be that they were not related to the gallbladder, or there could be a problem such as a retained common bile duct stone, or bile leak. You should see your surgeon to find out.

i am 2 weeks after laparoscopic appendectomy and i have still problems with the winds. at first after surgery my digestion returned to normal, but then i probably overdid it with food and it got worse. baby yoga position helps me, but i am worried?

: your problem does not seem to be related to surgery but digestion. Try to figure out the foods which give you gas and eliminate them and you should be OK. Also chewing food with the mouth closed helps.

Not related: Your weight gain is not related to surgery , reduce caloric intake, have healthy diet ,  go to gym regular basis   &  do exercises , be active you will loose weight and abdomen will get flat.

Yes: There should b no problem as long as u take it easy. If it hurts when u ejaculate then hold off for another few wks.

Ask your surgeon: Best to ask your surgeon. Usually wait at least 2 weeks before heavy activities, but each surgeon has their own recommendations. Usually a person is given instructions from the hospital at discharge too.

Nothing: The ESR is a measure of inflammation.  It will be high after any operation because the inflammation is part of the healing process.

Hopefully, ~2 weeks: With ruptured appendicitis, infection has spread from your appendix to the surrounding area if not throughout your belly. You have an ileus, or sluggish bowel function, for a couple to several days. You need to be on broad-spectrum antibiotics for several days. The chances of complication (e.g., abscess, bowel obstruction) are significant. Best case scenario -- back to normal in a couple of weeks.

Big Baby!: What did your surgeon and team tell you at discharge? Usually there is a weight restriction for a period of time post op.  Nine month old babies are big babies, as you know.  Dig up your discharge papers and/or call your surgeons office tomorrow.  If you have pain upon lifting we obviously want you to stop.  Call in family and friend recruits to help you out in the coming weeks.  Feel better soon!

Need hospital review: She needs to be checked out at the Emergency Department as pain after operation might be due to few problems, some of them might be life threatening to her or to the baby.
