It could be viral, toxins ie medications, alcohol,  acetomenophen, or auto immune or mechanical ie blockage of a bile duct or many other including fatty liver.. Basically if you have liver disease, you must abstain from alcohol and other medications which can damage the liver. Healthy diet in general.

That is a: nonspecific description that could be due to a variety of metabolic, infectious/inflammatory, medication induced, or neoplastic processes.  Most commonly this finding is due to benign fatty infiltration(which itself has numerous causes).  The finding needs to be interpreted in conjunction with your entire clinical/lab evaluation to determine its significance, so you need to talk to your doc.

We need to know if your liver is enlarged on physical exam? Liver function tests should also be done and if abnormal, you may need further testing including a MRI scan and possibly a needle biopsy of the liver.

Means tissue: The liver is composed of tissue, blood vessels, and a duct system sort of like storm drains. Junk from the body goes in blood  to the liver thru arteries to capillaries& passes thru tissue where work is done.Cleaned blood goes thru veinules to veins & back to the body. The junk ends up in ducts and is dumped into the intestines. Parenchmal disease affects tissue, rather than the rest.

This sounds serious: To translate, you have liver cell damage and scarring (cirrhosis), which caused abnormally elevated portal vein pressures which caused venous distention in esophagus (varices).  You also developed fluid in abdominal cavity, because of the high portal vein pressure.  This imaging study is showing advanced stage of liver disease.  You must get a specialist to treat you.
