ECG: To tell if you have normal ECG readings, you have to have an ECG performed and then ask or obtain the results of the test. If the results are normal, then you have a normal ecg.

Pre-excitation?: There is a short delay between the times the upper chambers (atria) contract and the lower chambers (ventricles). The two events are seen on the ekg as the p and r waves. If that is shorter than 120 msec, that can mean an accessory pathway that is bypassing the normal conduction system and cause "pre-excitation". Look up WPW or lgl syndrome. See an electrophysiologist about possible ablation.

: Yes, anxiety causes hyperventilation which gives you a perfect oxygen concentration but low CO2 and respiratory alkalosis which causes lightheadedness. What you call shortness of breath during anxiety attack is, in fact, hyperventilation. Blood pressure and EKG may be slightly different from your baseline but they should not be out of normal ranges.

: If the watch is accurately detecting an irregular pulse but not a fib, be aware that other arrhythmias like extrasystoles or benign sinus arrhythmia cause irregular pulse. You can palpate your artery at the wrist or neck to determine whether there's an irregularity. An EKG or wearing an outpatient heart monitor is best to document cardiac arrhythmias.

: Maybe/not. This rate is well within the normal range of heart rates found in nervous patients. Proper interpretation would require context of why the tracing was obtained and the overall patient condition. Possible arrhythmia: When you sleep the heart rhythm is affected.  Normally during sleep the heart rate decreases.  Occassionaly, one could have arrhythmia.  The likelihood fo having dysrhythmia is increased when one has obstructive sleep apnea.

i had my ekg reading done in class today and my professor thought it was a little weird. the axis reading of p-qrs-t was -1,8, and -6. is that weird?

Weird or not: P-wave axis normal is 0 to +75, QRS axis normal is -30 to +90, and T-wave axis normal is +15 to +75 degrees.  QRS is normal. P-wave borderline and if you are younger lower atrial rhythm leading to an abnormal axis is not atypical if heart rate is slower.  T-wave is “abnormal" but falls within borderline zone.  Number one cause of abnormal axis is incorrect lead placement.

can you tell me if i had a normal ekg reading, but weeks after im still having chest pains should i worry about a heart attack?

See cardiologist....: If you are still having chest pain even with a normal ekg, you should see a heart doctor to be certain your pain is not from your heart. There are other tests that may be needed, depending on your situation, including echocardiogram, exercise stress test, etc. A cardiologist will be able to tell you for sure that your pain is not from your heart.
