: Narrowing is due to scarring of the ureter and can result in obstruction of urine flow. A dilated ureter is due to an obstruction distal to the dilated site, i. e. there is usually a stone or scarr downstream from the dilated area. Both represent abnormalities in the urinary system.

Different causes: The term dilated cardiomyopathy refers to enlargement of the heart, not uncommonly all four chambers . This may or may not be associated with changes in function .  Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy ("hocm ") refers to an abnormal thickening  of the left ventricle.

Interrelated Issues: Ideopathic=unknown cause, cardio=heart, myo=muscle, path=disease; meaning heart muscle is weak ;/or stiff; usually also enlarged as a result. Congestive refers to excess body water retention in the lungs ; body due to heart weakness. Heart failure actually means weak, not failed (one would be dead). The most common basis is arterial disease, despite artery lumens on angiogram &quot;looking normal&quot;.

Vitreous: I believe you are referring to the same thing with different terms.  Most floaters are benign and most go away with time.  The hyaloid face is technically a delimiting feature of the vitreous body.  The vitreous gel liquefies over time...

I hope not: Hopefully you are writing this from being on bedrest and in consultation with a high risk OB and your own ob. Many things can be done to slow down or stop preterm labor. Every day you can give your baby inside is a huge benefit on the outside and long term. Please avail yourself and your child the best treatments for stopping preterm labor, for maturing baby's lungs, etc, for best outcome.

Nope: Tilted uterus is normal. 30 percent tip backward,  70 percent tip forward. No effect of effacing or dilating. If tipped back, you might have more back pain.

If you were my pt: And were 39 weeks and have an effaced cervix and are having irregular contractions i would bring you in and rupture your membranes and start pitocin, (oxytocin) if necessary which it may not be abd get u in active labor, ideal time to deliver is 39-40 weeks , and you will be uncomfortable and have a hard time sleeping with contractions going on, at 39 weeks the baby is better off outside than in!

im 34 weeks and found out im 1cm dilated and 30% effaced. is there any foods i need to avoid to cause further dilation? lemon tamarind etc?

Accepted Answer

No: There are no foods that enhance or stop cervical dilation. Decreasing extreme physical activity if you are having severe cramping is sometimes effective.
