Risperidone: Risperidone has high tendency to cause weight gain but don't stop talk to your physician there are more option available medications similar to  risperidone.

Probably not: Normal, healthy people in the developed world are usually not vitamin deficient, but can take a daily vitamin with minerals supplement just to make sure they get some vitamins and minerals that might not be in their diet if they don't have a very varied diet. Such supplements don't increase or decrease weight gain in normal people. One can check to see how many calories are in her supplements.

Follow: your Psychiatrist care plan and discuss your weight concerns. Eating healthy smaller portions and exercise will reduce the weight gain with psychotropics or selection of drugs with less weight gain or weight neutral

I am afraid so: But there re otherssri without an effect on weight.  Paxil (paroxetine) is very good for anxiety and panic attacks because it acts relatively quickly but other agents are just as good, they just take a little longer.  No pill is good for everybody and some experimentation is in order.

Learning experience: Sleep is not an entity that is standard for any two people.  Everyone tolerates sleep, hours asleep and sleep deprivation differently.  The quality of sleep is more important than the quantity.  If in doubt, get to a sleep professional.

Nexito-escitalopram: ...is in the same class of meds as Prozac (fluoxetine).  it doesn't usually cause wt. gain.  However, Mirnite (mirtazapine)_can cause wt. gain and this wt. gain can contribute to other problems.  There are many other side effects, ranging from mild to severe.  If you notice problems that might be caused by one of these meds, it's best to follow up with your prescribing doctor.

so i'm getting skyla placed tomorrow. i had implanon and had weight gain and an unending cycle. what are the chances of the same side effects?

Low: You may have bleeding at first with the Skyla while the receptors are being primed but this is most often in the first month. The incidence drops monthly. There is an average 10 pound weight gain each year with DepoProvera but studies have shown no weight change with the IUDs or implants. There is less hormone exposure with Skyla so less risk.
