So i'm getting skyla placed tomorrow. i had implanon and had weight gain and an unending cycle. what are the chances of the same side effects?

Low: You may have bleeding at first with the Skyla while the receptors are being primed but this is most often in the first month. The incidence drops monthly. There is an average 10 pound weight gain each year with DepoProvera but studies have shown no weight change with the IUDs or implants. There is less hormone exposure with Skyla so less risk.
