i am dialysis patient. doing since last 6 years. i had line in my neck n when they remove it got clot. caz of that my fistula hand is swelled.

Yes: Anytime you have a catheter in the vein, they can scar down.  All of the veins in your arm come together into to one vein near the heart.  When this area narrows, all the extra blood in your arm from the fistula, can't be drained fast enough.  This causes your arm to swell.  You should see an interventional radiologist or vascular surgeon that does "endovascular procedures".

im excessive sweating. can anything be done to help relieve it? im type1 and on dialysis. sweats happen all times of the day/night hot or cold. from head neck shoulder and around my legs. more so when i start chewing

Check your sugars: I would first be sure to check your glucose and make sure it is not going down too low. If that is not the case you should check with your GP to have some bloods checked and makes sure there are no other problems like your thyroid or other issues.

Dialysis levels: The fall in creatinine (c) from 17 pre-dialysis to 12.7 is normal. It will probably be lower after the second dialysis. A better measure of dialysis efficiency is the urea reduction rate. That is the percentage of fall pre and post dialysis of the bun. If the patient's kidney function were to improve, there would be an increase in urine production with a fall in the serum levels of c and bun.

Electrolytes move along the concentration gradient, so toxins which are high in the blood, goes to the dialysate solution.

Although the kidney makes urine when patients on d, it's not a high quality urine, as the waste products that need to be eliminated are not, water is.

Fluid: When you miss hd, you retain more fluid and you either swell up, gain weight or get short of breath. Your electrolytes also become abnormal and your strength can go down. So don't miss your hd.
