Not sure...: Not sure i understand your question, but "dermatome" refers to the cutaneous distribution of sensation for a given nerve. I am not familiar with the term "center of the tendon jerk." deep tendon reflexes evaluate a muscle's ability to sense a stimulus and react to it via contraction.

Not usually: You may well be suffering from Shingles.  Are the lesions painful now?  Talk to your doctor to see if something can be done about it.

Yes: Dermatomes are maps of the skin based on study of many people. Based on where the skin is numb or sensitive or has abnormal feeling, a physician can tell which nerves or part of the spinal cord are affected. People do vary in what part of the body is supplied by which spinal nerve root, but a trained physician or health care provider can come close. Imaging like MRI can confirm the location.

2/12 ago fractured transverse process of l1,2,3 with the that of l2 being shattered still having sharp  pain at l2 dermatome. how long to settle?

Need to image: The pain should have decreased substantially by 3-4 weeks if simple healing was proceeding, but wonder if more has occurred.  Would definitely get both MRI and CAT scan of area to ascertain bone fragments and even a problem with disc rupture in area.

i am having shooting pain from l3 to my knee according to a dermatome chart. nothing makes it worse. it just seems to come and go randomly?

Things to consider: May have intermittent "tapping" of the L3 nerve root causing sporadic symptoms.
Other potential causes of your symptoms include iliotibial band syndrome (especially if the outer knee) or meralgia paresthetica  (especially if pain/tingling is along a vertical stripe over the front outer thigh)
pt can address all of these.  Urgent eval warranted if you develop weakness or other true neuro issues.

i have burnin pain on forearm, started with diffuse tingling couple months ago, do i have cervical radiculopathy? burning not specific to dermatome

Couple thots: Doubt this is due to problem in neck, and rather might wonder about problem with radial nerve if over top or forearm (dorsal interosseus syndrome), but if over inner surface could be median such as pronator syndrome, and even less likely anterior interosseus syndrome.  An EMG could help sort this out.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. The distribution of symptoms does not fit a dermatome pattern. A likely cause is nutritional deficiency. You may try taking multivitamin supplement.
