What is rbd?: This could be related  to the gabapentin. It depends  on the dose. You need to discuss this  sleepwalking  with your physician. Sleep walking not  commonly associated  with gabapentin but you need  an evaluation.

paper, reviewed 48 patients who underwent skin biopsy for small fiber neuropathy. 30 patients had a painful condition, such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic
pain syndrome or some combination of the above. Of these, 13 (43%) had
evidence of small fiber neuropathy.

Complicated: There are both immune-mediated and neoplastic conditions, such as waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia and others, that can cause similar pictures. Please have an evaluation by a hematologist. Some blood tests to look for monoclonal proteins, radiologic studies, and possibly a bone marrow biopsy may be necessary to figure out what is going on. The picture needs to be put together.

Multiple...: If you have had a nerve conduction study and confirmed this diagnosis through this test then there multiple labs that can be ordered in order to find out the source: electrolytes, blood sugar, vitamin b 12, hepatitis, syphilis, HIV, inflammatory tests( sed rate for example), Lyme disease, among others that are a lot less common. Follow up with your doctor on this.

Biopsy: The best way is a biopsy in the lower leg. This is relatively painless and only requires some local anesthesia in the skin. Most small fiber neuropathies begin in the extremities. Facial numbness is more concerning for a possible central nervous system issue. I would recommend seeing a neurologist.
