hand eczema: You need to see a dermatologistwho can prescribe a cortisone ointment for your hands.In addition you should try to wash your hands as infrequently as possible and use a mild soap such as cetaphil, dove or basis. There is no cure for this only a treatment. Remember to wear gloves when doing the dishesand wear a pair of thin cotton gloves underneath the rubber gloves.

A little of both...: Intra-oral biting can be strictly conscious, strictly compulsive or a combination.  In any of these cases it could be construed as both dermatophagia and self-injury in varying degrees as technically dermatophagia is self-injury even though it is classified as form of (obsessive-compulsive) disorder.  Don't confuse this with accidental intra-oral bites which may be self or externally inflicted.
