Spread of infection: Unlike imaging for cancer, we do not image the body to see spread of dental infection. First, while possible, this is a relatively infrequent or rare occurrence. Secondly, there are other symptoms that would indicate or infer infections in your body such as redness, swelling, fever, malaise, loss of appetite, chills, sweats, etc. Blood counts are a simple diagnostic test as well.  Just get treated.

Second Opinion: Abscesses on gums are not normal and are something a dentist needs to treat at any age even if it is just taking antibiotics to clear up the infection. While the abscess may not be from a tooth it is from infection and it is highly iunlikely that there are not dental problems present if there are abscesses present.

is it true we need to take antibiotics for three days before our teeth being removed for tooth abscesses?

That depends: That depends on how big the abscess is. Toxins produced by the abscess can neutralize the local anesthetic and make it so you don't get numb as well. Antibiotics should help shrink the abscess so the "novacaine" will work better. Also the smaller the abscess the faster you will heal after the extraction. If your dentist said to take it, i would.

Mouth ulcers?: If the "abscesses are appearing all over the gums, my first thought is that you are not dealing with infected nerves, but most likely a virus-mediated ulceration or ulcers induced by some food(s). If your dentist has been treating this with root canal therapy, maybe you should get a second opinion from a gum specialist?

will removing all of my teeth and getting dentures prevent abscesses from ever occurring again?

It should: When decayed, rotten teeth are removed, the gingiva closes up over the socket, and the pathway for bacteria into the bone is removed. At 32 years old, is that what you really want... Dentures? Root canal therapy and proper restorative care is the better choice.
