Slow/unpredictable: Carcinoid tumors are commonly very slow growing tumors. It takes them 10 to 20 years(or longer) to run their course. We can not be exact in predicting  when, or if , the carcinoid will spread to the liver. So relax and try not to make any predictions. Most of my patients have no problems for decades of relatively good life despite a tumor nodule or two siting some place in the belly.

What are your sympto: One would have to know what symptoms you're experiencing or why your physician ordered urine studies. There are various reasons apart from infection that people have urinary symptoms. These may be kidney stones, diabetes, interstitial cystitis, hypercalcemia, cystocele,etc.
