Pregnancy rare: It is extremely rare to get pregnant after a bilateral tubal ligation, especially current technique - which includes cutting, cauterizing, then clipping tubes.  Your symptoms may be due to hormonal changes.  However, if having unprotected sex recently, and you are anxious, you can check a home pregnancy test to reassure yourself.  Take Care!

Possibly: Abruption can be caused by numerous reasons.  The most likely is unknown.  Some of the others include abdominal trauma, uterine anomiolies, elevated blood pressures.  Ask your OB they could give you a better reccurrence risk after getting a indepth history of your prior pregnancy with the abruption.

If they ask specifically about it, i would encourage them to be very loving, supportive and limit the extent of their questions-as someone who is experiencing a difficult pregnancy may not need the additional pressure.

Pre-eclampsia: Pre-eclampsia is more common in first pregnancies. Recurrence risk is about 15%. Recurrence may be higher if you have high blood pressure outside of pregnancy or if you have a multiple gestation. Most obstetricians manage a patient with a history of pre-eclampsia without the help of a high risk specialist.

Warfarin: Warfarin is a drug you shouldn't be using during pregnancy. Heparin is safer because it doesn't cross the placenta and affect the fetus. But why do you need these anticoagulants? That cause may increase the risks of pregnancy and put you into a high risk group. Talk to your doctor.

Fmla or family medical leave act gives one the right to take time off for a family medical problem. This is twelve weeks of leave and in most companies it is not paid leave. Incompetent cervix: An incompetent cervix is one that opens and allows the pregnancy to egress prematurely resulting in loss. The cervix dilates too easily and the "stitches" are called a cervical cerclage which holds the cervix closed like a "drawstring on a purse or bag". When fetal maturity is assured the cerclage is removed and Voila! a full term baby. You are at high risk for repeated pregnancy loss without one
