Removed too: If you have a bottom tooth or top tooth removed, then the opposing wisdom tooth that would normally bite on it, is rendered useless and generally should be removed to prevent future infections or health-related complications. Ask your dentist for more information.

Yes: Most likely you have an infection in that tooth which is causing swelling and possible bony expansion. It could be other things as well. You should have it evaluated by an oral surgeon who can extract the wisdom tooth and do a biopsy of the lump if he/she feels it may not be related to the tooth. Get it dealt with asap as it can only get worse and can actually become life threatening.

I wish!: You probably are not alone in wishing this, but unfortunately, you may need your dentist to evaluate the "hole" in your wisdom tooth that needs to be filled. While you may not have any symptom from this at the moment, but left untreated it may cause more severe problem to cause more pain and detriment to your health.
