The heart is made up of 4 chambers and it is the lower left one that pumps blood to the body through the aorta. With hcm the thickened muscle surrounding the aorta can block the opening, preventing blood from getting to the body, leading to death.

Flushot concerns: I am a Pediatrician. I follow the CDC and AAP guidelines on Flushot administration and  I have not had any severe reactions. We need to screen for possibility of reactions before we give ANY shot : not just the Flushot. We cannot give the Flushot if there is history of reactions to components of the vaccine in the past.The vaccine has protected so many patients from the "FLU" for so many years.

Respiratory failure: Acute respiratory failure is the cause of death. Fluid fills the alveoli of the lungs and prevents oxygenation of the blood. Antibody production against the corona  virus is not as strong as in children, and also children do not have preexisting medical conditions as elderly often have.

Honest and simple: Children actually deal with things like death in a fairly straightforward way. Best way is to be simple, honest, and understanding. Answer questions, don't give gory details, and be prepared for the same question in several different ways. Rituals help, like allowing them to go to the funeral (not open casket or graveside). And especially allowing them to express their emotions.

Your gyn: Who did the surg should have told u if your other tube looks good or not , and u can have a tubal xray called an hsg to see if it is patent or not, after one ectopic your risk goes from 1/100 to 1/10 so u still have a 9/10 chance to have a normal preg but obviously u will need to be followed closely at the beginning with quantitative bhchgs and Progesterone level and ultrasounds.

Yes and no: If the child has a cardiac problem that has not been diagnosed, they are more prone to have a cardiac arrest if they participate in athletic activities. Hope this makes sense!

Unfortunately, : Unfortunately, genetic testing can take a little time - in some cases up to six weeks depending on the hospital or lab that is running the test.  For a more accurate answer, you should call the doctor that sent the test.  If they have experience with the genetic testing lab and this particular test, they can give you a better (and possibly shorter!) idea of how long it will take.  Good luck to you!
