Sexual activity?: How long have these marks been there?Did they show up after sexual foreplay?There are many unusual skin marks that can result from it. Pregnancy will also change the color and size of the aureolas.

Pagets : dear lakeida,  Pagets is more often red, itchy rather than scaly.  Other possibilities include Tinea or other non-infectious dermatitis such as impetigo or piryriasiform dermatitis (especially with a scale).  The only way to truly know is a punch biopsy of the affected skin.

Could be Dermatitis: Keep and eye on! Use OTC hydrocrotisone cream few days! If no mass or discharge not likely to be of any concern

Any possibility: you could be pregnant? The areola may darken and Montgomery glands may become more prominent.

Dry Skin: Areolas can get dry in the winter just like other skin.  Use a scent-free lotion or ointment like eucerin calming cream.  If you notice anything else with that breast: discharge that is red or greenish, red tender or swollen areas, palpable lumps, or if the skin starts to look like an orange, see your physician.  Also, women's breasts are rarely symmetrical, so having a larger areola is normal.

See a doctor: Then only way to be sure is to see a physician.  Male breast cancer is rare but can present just like female breast cancer.  Sometimes skin cancer can also present like this.  Non cancerous diagnoses like infection or cyst can be a possibility.  See a physician for a comprehensive history and physician and possible biopsy.

a few mths ago i got a small but painful bump on areola below nipple. went away after a week. today i woke up with the exact same bump in same spot.

Blocked duct: most likely blocked duct. Best to use moist heat to help it resolve. If it looks infected (red, swollen, increasing pain/swelling) need to be seen
