See Provider: I notice you are on retin a (tretinoin) and antibiotics . What you are describing could be related to a pre existing skin condition or it could be related to the antibiotic you are taking. What you are describing could mean an allergic reaction , fungal infection or other skin condition called eczema. Please see your provider and check this out!

Dark patches: She may have acanthosis nigrans. See a dermatologist for a more definitive diagnosis.

No: They will grow back. You need to treat the inflammation underneath initially with external medications such as tazorac, (tazarotene) taclonex, luxiq, dovonex to control problem. Picking can make it worse and will cause bleeding.

Could be many things: If your child has a fever with a red rash, this could be an infection.  Please consider a telemedicine visit or in person visit with your child's healthcare provider.  This type of rash can occur with or without itchiness.

Possibly eczema: There are many skin trashes that can match your description and it would be wise to see a doctor and get a diagnosis and treatment.  Psoriasis or allergic dermatitis may also mimic what you have described.

Candida: Candida or yeast can certainly create these symptoms and presentation.  You can get a prescription from your doctor. In the meantime, cut out all sugar and yeast from your diet, keep the area clean and dry and you will start to feel better.

Many: There are many treatment options for psoriasis including light therapy, topical therapies, pills and injections. Discuss with your dermatologist to see what would be best for you.

Hives: A 23 year old female with itchy hives that turn to scabs or scaly dry patches for one week. Hives can be caused by multiple different things - sometimes infection, food, medication, insect stings, environmental allergens, etc. If hives last a long time, often no found cause. Take an oral antihistamine and visit your health care provider for further evaluation.

6 mth old dry light red scaly patches on his forehead...eczema? can i apply something fot the dryness?

Petroleum jelly: Forehead is an odd place but it could be eczema but i would see your pediatrician.  In general, any good moisturizer would work but petroleum jelly (vaseline) and aquophor are very good at trapping moisture and improving the eczema.  You can also use steroid creams but would consult with your pediatrician first.

i have some dry scaly patches on my calves that drain constantly. they itch excessively at night & its hard to not scratch them. there are times they dont drain, but they drain mostly at night & its a yellowish drainage. ?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor, preferably a dermatologist. ff you are overweight, it would help to lose weight.
