Yes it works: Limb lengthening entails surgery and lots of time afterwards to allow for the bone to grow after cutting it and transporting it.  But it definitely can work..

Weakness: Acute weakness in the limbs on one side of the body and is an emergency to call 911 for because stroke is a possibility.  Acute weakness on both sides has several causes and deserves a full physical exam and testing.  If you are experiencing gradual weakness you need to learn about how to maintain your strength through exercise. Good luck.
