A member asked:

How hard is it to get used to an artificial limb?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mostly not too hard: Most with artificial limbs are highly motivated to work with it, learn the tricks to use it and administering self care. A major issue is the health of the stump of the severed limb. But if all is well, it can be a terrific adjunct to an otherwise serious problem.
