Is due to imcomptence of the valves inside the veins that prevent backflow of blood that is bein returned to the right side of your heart. It occurs mostly on the left side because the left testicular vein travels straight up into the vein of the left kidney as opposed to the right one that travels at an angle into the vena cava(big vein).

Due to  an absence of or defective venous valves between testis ; vena cava. Means there is back pressure from a column of blood from your neck downwards. May be associated with reduced fertility due to diminished sperm motility ;/or scrotal discomfort.

Reasons to fix a varicocele would be pain, infertility, or if a teenaged boy has testicle atrophy. Treatment options include microsurgery or laparoscopic varicocelectomy, done by a urologist, or embolization of the vein, done by an interventional radiologist.
