Bladder Irritation: The findings on cystoscopy that you describe could definitely be from a kidney stone that you passed.  You can also have bladder irritation from certain foods you eat or medications you take.

Possible: you could have small stones or gravel
that you might be passing or you could have a benign condition called Ig A nephropathy which gives rise to some blood and protein in urine without any other symptoms
it might be a good idea to see a kidney doctor to evaluate kidney function to make sure it is normal

Reason for hematuria: Since you are on Coumadin for AF, it is possible that the bleeding is related to the use of this medication.  You need to talk to your cardiologist. Hecan check your PT to be sure that your dose of Coumandin is correct, and he may offer a different medication.  The urologist can tell you if there are other causes that need to be evaluated

No: cystoscopy is an important part of work up when you have persistent microscopic hematuria.  The main things to rule out are urinary bladder diverticulum or any cysts or mass on the bladder. Having said so-- it is not indicated for all patients with microscopic hematuria because blood can be coming from kidneys ( deformed RBCs) very common presentation in IgA nephropathy. Seek a nephrology consult.

ESWL,fluids,etc.: Whatever can dissolve or break down the stone is used to remove it.  For example, eawl or extracorporial shock wave lithotripsy use shock waves to break up the stone from outside the body.  Meanwhile patients are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids to hopefully pass the stone on the urine.  If these and other things fail then surgery might be done, as a last option.

No: Every situation is different. If stone blocks urine flow is, otherwise not. If it is in the kidney out of the way can stay there for long time- no problem.

1.1cm: Is a relatively large stone, and may lead to problems in the future, even though now it is non-obstructing.  Discuss the risks/benefits with your Urologist in an informed decision making conversation/visit and decide the best option for your specific case.  Good luck.
