Of concern: Your symptoms are of concern for at least 2 conditions: diabetes insipidus and psychogenic polydipsia that may worsen your Hypokalemic periodic paralysis and hypoglycemia. Definitely worth a visit with your primary care provider for further blood and urine studies and review of your meds. How is your sugar running?

If..: If you feel constantly thirsty and the urinary frequency happens all the time then I would say you should get checked. Diabetes is a possibility and with no further information at hand I cannot say this is definitely normal. Visit your doctor for evaluation.

Yes: Amount of urine has to do with amount of intake. You drink 60 oz in 8 hours ie 2.5 oz per 20 minutes. If you measure it you will prove that you pass 2.5 oz per void. Younger persons hold it &amp; go every 2 hours to pass 15 ounces at once but with age, irritable bladder (or prostate in men) you need to go more often. You don't need this much fluids unless you have kidney stones. Spread 60 oz over 12hr

Water: Water is the best fluid to drink.  If you are willing to drink a few sips at a time that is better than not drinking at all.  f you drink a lot of water it is normal to have to void a lot

Yes, this is normal: The more water you drink the more you will pee.  Peeing is one way that our body flushes out toxins.  Within reason the more water you drink the better your body can do this.  Your urine is clear now because any toxins are more diluted and you probably  have less of them as you have eliminated soda.

Dehydration: You may be dehydrated, eventually it will all come out, some women retain fluids around their peiod time and then hormonal changes will let them diurese it.

POSSIBLY: Make note of your ins and outs with amounts measured and the times. It could be that your bladder is holding more urine because it is nice and dilute now and the larger volume and bladder compliance make for less trips with more urine output.

im am having some left kidney pain and i have been drinking water i took azo but this didnt change the color of my urine. my urine is clear should i go to the er? my pain is a 2-3 discomfort. is clear pee like water ok?

: Are you certain that the pain is coming from the.left kidney? If there's a complete blockage in the left ureter by a stone or other cause, your urine from the right kidney can be clear. In this case, an ultrasound or renal CT scan would be diagnostic. You're not experiencing severe pain, but instead of waiting to see your MD next Monday, you may want to get prompt attention in the ER.
