Certainly: A fetus can have normal karyotype and still have any one of a large variety of really bad congenital defects. That means many bad birth defects happen in babies who have normal karyotypes. As we each walk our journeys in life, we must make the best decisions we can, with the information we have at hand... people make the best call they can, and then move on, to the promises that the future holds.

Patience, expectancy: Your betaHCG may take several weeks to return to normal depending on the gestational age at which your pregnancy was terminated. If you have no pain, no excessive bleeding, no fever or other symptoms, there is little cause for alarm. Otherwise, be patient. If you remain concerned, you may want to repeat your HCG in another week or so.

Fetus was a girl: "Normal female karyotype" just means the fetus was genetically a girl. It means there were 2 of each chromosome (contrast that with Down syndrome, where a fetus would have 3 of chromosome #21). So, "normal female karyotype" doesn't have a particular special meaning, but only that she was genetically a girl.

Antenatal care: the success of a pregnancy improves with the level of care you receive before birth. Make sure you are followed by an OB before you plan to get pregnant. Make sure you have a good month or two of good health pre-conception, and then hope for a good pregnancy, making all your high-risk OB visits count !

Yes: Any abnormal pregnancies such as this are due to genetic it Tatian's which can happen only one time there's no guarantee you will have another problem like this. To be sure you might want to have genetic counseling or you can check your chromosomes it's possible that you have a chromosome disease that could be inherited   most likely it is a random mutation which will never happen again
