: There is no risk to the person with the infection. There is little or no risk to others if the jacuzzi sanitizing system has been properly managed (chlorine, bromine or a silver ion device). Still, it's best to stay out of shared pools, spas and jacuzzis when there is any obvious skin infection or draining wound:  better safe than sorry.

Maybe: If you have this it is a problem waiting to go bad. I would seek out a head &amp; neck surgeon (ENT) to schedule an elective exploration &amp; take down of the cleft &amp; its connections. At any time it could trigger an infection in your neck that would need an emergency procedure. The best results come when it is not inflamed.
