Cyst Treatment: If they have been there for several months then they will probably need to be surgically excised.  If new (less than a month), they could be acne or folliculitis and might respond to a steroid injection or oral antibiotic.

i woke up with a medium sized bump on the back of my head its red but doesn't hurt or itch. it feels like its just siting there doing nothing i don't think it is a cyst but i'm not sure could be a bite possibly any suggestions should i be worried?

: Nothing to worry about. It could be a cyst or bite or small abscess. Give it some time. Can apply warm compress to area.

It certainly could: be. But it could also be a fatty tumor called a lipoma. see doctor for confirmative diagnosis

Probably hematoma: Sounds like a hematoma not a cyst based on the history of trauma.

A lump like this`: really needs to be felt by your PCP (Primary Care Provider) however it sounds like an old inflammed LYMPH NODE (gland) from an old infection! The LOCATION as well as the SIZE and CONSISTANCY are used to determine if it needs to be removed!

i had a head mri done(for other reasons) but they found a bump/bumps on my adenoids. they mentioned that it could be a cyst. what could this mean?

Often nothing bad.: It means you have a round mass filled with fluid in the adenoidal tissue. This could be a Thornwaldt cyst which is no big deal.  Cancer of the adenoids is very rare.  Your doctor will tell you if you need to get a repeat MRI or any further evaluation and how worried to be.  Significance does depend on why you were having the MRI, though. Get it checked: This may be an infection.  You should get it checked by your doctor to see if you need antibiotics. In the meantime you can apply warm compresses over it to see ifit will point to the surface and drain.  No gaurantees.

Definitive treatment of a cyst requires complete removal of the tissue and, in cases where the growth is more aggressive, some surrounding normal tissue is removed to prevent a recurrence. For these reasons you seek care from a surgeon for evaluation, removal and biopsy.
